{{chart:playercard-Auqib Dar}}

Auqib Dar is a domestic batter in DC's squad with no T20 statistical data in the model. No WAR, no phase splits, no xImpact, no IPL confidence score. The model has nothing to project from, and this article will not fabricate numbers.

What We Know

Dar is listed as a batter who does not bowl. He is not an overseas player and not a wicketkeeper. His selection in the squad suggests DC's talent evaluators see batting potential that the statistical model cannot yet capture.

Path to Selection

With Shaw, Porel, Rahul, Rana, Nair, and Sameer Rizvi ahead of him in the domestic batting queue, Dar's path to the XI is long. He would need several batters to be unavailable or would need to demonstrate form in practice that convinces the coaching staff to give him a debut.

What This Means for IPL 2026

Dar is a squad depth selection who may not play a match this season. If he does get opportunities, his debut performances will establish a baseline for future projections. DC's batting depth means he can develop without pressure to perform immediately.
