Prospects are identified from SMAT (Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy) domestic T20 data. Players with fewer than 10 IPL innings are evaluated using the same WAR model with a 0.4x competition quality discount. The model projects what their domestic WPA would translate to at the IPL level, accounting for strength-of-competition.
