Madhav Tiwari (DC): Uncapped Domestic Batter Joins a Deep Batting Squad
Madhav Tiwari is a domestic batter in DC's squad with no T20 statistical data in the model. No WAR, no phase splits, no xImpact, no IPL confidence score. The model cannot project his contribution, and this article will not fabricate numbers.
What We Know
Tiwari is listed as a batter who does not bowl. He is not an overseas player and not a wicketkeeper. His inclusion in the squad signals DC's interest in developing young domestic batting talent.
Path to Selection
DC's domestic batting depth runs deep: Shaw, Porel, Rahul, Axar Patel, Ashutosh Sharma, Nitish Rana, Karun Nair, Sameer Rizvi, and Auqib Dar are all ahead of him or competing for the same slots. Tiwari would need exceptional practice form or a significant injury crisis to earn a debut this season.
What This Means for IPL 2026
Tiwari is a long-term investment. His squad inclusion provides exposure to IPL-level training, coaching, and match-day preparation. If DC are eliminated from playoff contention, late-season matches could provide debut opportunities. Any match time he earns will build the statistical foundation for future projections.
